TX Torque is a pro-led baseball academy at 2010 Bassett Ave in El Paso for ages 7 and up. The first class is free, and memberships start at $260 a month.
Where is TX Torque located?
TX Torque trains at 2010 Bassett Ave, El Paso, TX 79901, starting Monday, November 2, 2026.
Is the first class really free?
Yes. The first trial class is free with no deposit. Trials run Fridays and Saturdays, year-round, for all skill levels.
What ages do you train?
Ages 7 and up, in three groups: 7 to 10, 11 to 14 and 14+. Each group trains at its own time so athletes work with peers at their level.
What are the class times?
Ages 7 to 10 train from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, ages 11 to 14 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, and ages 14+ from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
How much does TX Torque cost?
Monthly memberships are $260 (A, 4 lessons), $360 (AA, 8 lessons), $440 (AAA, 12 lessons) and $600 (MLB, unlimited). 6-month, 12-month and annual plans save 10%, 15% and 20%.
How do memberships work?
Choose a level by lessons per month (A, AA, AAA or MLB unlimited) and pay monthly, or save with a 6-month, 12-month or annual plan. Everything is managed in the Torque app.
Who are the coaches?
The staff includes two MLB draft picks, Justin Maese (3rd round, 2015) and Eudor Garcia (4th round, 2014), plus former pros Alex Reyes, Gabriel Aguilar and Angel Vega.
Do you use TrackMan?
Yes. TrackMan measures exit velocity, launch angle, pitch velocity and spin rate on every rep.
Do you offer pitching lessons?
Yes. Pitching is led by Justin Maese, a 3rd round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft who pitched in the Yankees, Braves and Blue Jays organizations. Pitchers train on a dedicated lane with a mound.
Do you offer catching lessons?
Yes. Angel Vega, a former college and Mexican League catcher, runs specialized catching coaching once a week.
Do you have softball?
Torque Softball is coming soon, with clinics, coaching and development for players of every age. Join the interest list on the softball page.
Do you have a club team?
Yes. Torque Youth is our club team. Players train at the facility and are coached by our staff in real games.
Do you help with college recruiting?
Yes. Our staff has real college and pro connections, runs exposure events and guides families through the recruiting process. TrackMan numbers give college coaches the data they ask for.
What should my athlete bring?
Athletic clothes, turf shoes or sneakers, a glove, a bat if they have one and a water bottle.
