Training
Catching & fielding training
TX Torque offers specialized catching coaching once a week with Angel Vega, a former college and Mexican League catcher, and defensive training led by Fielding and Hitting Director Eudor Garcia.
Catching
Catching is its own position with its own skills. Angel Vega caught at St. Mary's and San Jacinto, earned ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team honors and caught in the Mexican League with Algodoneros and Pericos de Puebla. He runs specialized catching coaching one session per week.
Fielding and defense
Eudor Garcia, a 4th round pick in the 2014 MLB Draft with twelve years of pro baseball, leads detail-driven defensive work. Fielding is trained on the open turf field at our new facility.
